Mission Statement:
The mission of First Friends Library is to foster the love of reading for pleasure and information. We will enrich lives by maintaining a nurturing, safe, fun, and inviting environment for everyone. We will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to inspire learning and ensure that we have adequate resources to become 21st century learners. The Frist Friends Library at FUMC has been an idea in my head almost since I came here. This summer I found out that we could move forward with the project, and I cannot find the words to say how wonderfully happy that made me! My love for books is something I share with my children and hope to share with yours too! That is where our theme for the library came from. LOVE. I want to bring an exciting, cozy, fantastic place where the children can come to learn to Love all the things about books. - To prompt curiosity, which leads to individual learning, creativity, and research.
- To use the relevance of materials that supports and enriches curriculum.
